As I write this blog, Jupiter has made ingress into Aries, and as I wrote here, this will be brief period of time this year to assert the faith and optimism in life we discovered or rediscovered when Jupiter was in Pisces.
Compassion, creativity, spirituality were highlighted and energised with Jupiter in Pisces.
Now in Aries, we can become courageous and inspiring – fearless in our expression of our own true self – the self that is one with all of life.
This self is compassionate, creative, and through these behaviours makes meaning of life.
With Jupiter in Aries, we will have the drive to manifest what was revealed to us when He was in Pisces, connecting with an ideal that transcends the material world.
Jupiter will briefly return to Pisces on 29th October this year, before returning to Aries on 21st December and onwards into 2023. This return to Pisces will afford us the opportunity to review how the application of our faith and optimism in the mundane world has played out – will we need to fine tune our faith and belief – will we have discovered ‘wisdom’ and sail forth, confidant in our journey through life?
As always, so I believe, it is a great time to be alive!
I hope Jupiter in Aries energises you to initiate and pursue your ‘truths’ through compassion and creativity.
Take a look at my home page if you’d like to explore this ingress of Jupiter into Aries and your birth chart through an astrological reading: what does this mean for you? How can you align yourself to take advantage of this cosmic energy?

Finding life’s treasure at the time of the New Moon and Solar Eclipse.
Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we will experience a New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse on 1st May, 2022, at 6:28 PM (AEST), at 10° 28′Taurus .
This eclipse is the start of the ‘eclipse season’ for 2022: we have a Total Lunar Eclipse occurring at 25°Scorpio on 16th May, followed by another Partial Solar Eclipse at 02°Scorpio on 25th October and the final eclipse for 2022 being a Total Lunar Eclipse at 16°Taurus on 8th November. I’ll write more of these as we come to them, but for now, lets sow the seeds for this season by partaking in the ‘Rites of Taurus’!
This is a partial eclipse as the New Moon occurs 12° away from the north Lunar Node – for a total solar eclipse, the distance must be less than 11°.
We won’t see anything of this eclipse – you’ll need to be in Brazil and the southern tip of South America – but, we will be energised by its affect.
Here then, we have a New Moon at 10° 28′ Taurus, conjunct Uranus at 14° Taurus, and with the Sun ’turned off’ for the period of the eclipse, we have a reset and a new start for all matters Taurus. With Uranus here, expect the unexpected!
Those of you who discuss astrology with me know I have a soft spot for Taurus, although I have no planets in Taurus and it is an intercepted sign in my natal chart!
I love the Bull iconology of Taurus – its steadfastness and its happiness being at peace with the Earth.
Here I quote Patricia Crowther’s ode to Taurus:
The Goddess arrives! The Earth is born!
The sunlight gleams on the Bull’s gold horn.
All nature stirs as Taurus is seen,
bearing Venus, the Earth’s bright Queen.
The fire of Mars is lulled to rest
as he lays his head on her soft breast.
Lady of Love all hail to thee,
for Cupid’s swift dart and quickening tree.
Venus in Taurus shows the way,
to live our lives from day to day.
In sons and daughters of this sign
patience and loyalty in them shine.
Wisdom too is here aligned,
in the Sacred Bull all are combined.
Venus manifest in fertile Earth,
all her glories brings to birth!
Taurus, by Patricia C. Crowther. (The Zodiac Experience: Initiation through the 12 Signs)
Listen Patricia read her Rite of Taurus here
A stirring poem from one of my favourite Wiccan’s, written from a northern hemisphere perspective, and rich with Taurian imagery! Patricia evokes the Fixed nature of Taurus, His enduring stability and drive to preserve. She highlights the Bull’s receptivity, reliability and practicality of the Earth element, as well as the rulership of Venus in this sign.
The New Moon and eclipse, being in the sign of Taurus will highlight all of this for us and practically it will be a time of revelation and an opportunity for a new start around matters of finances and the resources that provide us with material and psychological security.
Being a partial eclipse, where the Moon will block some of the Sun’s illumination, maybe we gain a glimpse at what we have missed or looked over that could be of value in providing us with security and stability?
And with Pluto at 28° Capricorn having just stationed retrograde on 30th April, we are now having a second chance to review such matters with a view to who controls these resources – who do we allow to manage our access to these resources – who has the power over our sense of security and stability? Do we have the power?
I will say, “yes”, and especially at the time of this New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse, because we find Jupiter and Venus in an opportunistic relationship with Pluto.
Concurrently, we find the jubilant conjunction of Jupiter and Venus at 27° Pisces, the Sign traditionally ruled by Jupiter and in which Venus is exalted – this is providing us with additional stimulation to look to that which we value, such as money, relationships, harmony, and above all, peace.
With Jupiter providing a confident drive to connect with a higher ‘ideal’ and being in the Sign of spirituality (Pisces) we will have an abundance of opportunities to find joy, happiness and harmony through aligning ourselves with something more than our individual self – perhaps the Higher Self – the Self that is One with All Creation – the Self that is the Fundamental Resource that is of value to all life on Earth?
I hope this New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse provides you with a renewed sense of self-confidence to find peace in your life!

This Full Moon occurs at 4:55am (AEST) on 17th April (16th April 6:55pm UTC for our Northern Hemisphere friends).
A Full Moon in Libra grants us the great opportunity to review how we value peace and harmony in our world: as individuals; societies; cultures; countries; etc.
At this time the Sun illuminates our emotional needs and responses in relation to our requirement for safety and serenity based on a fair and just world. A world where we can all find a calm place to nurture our souls and live as authentic beings.
Libra provides such a cosmic energy: an energy to seek co-operation, diplomacy and peace for all sentient life.
This Full Moon reflects on the ‘seeds’ we sowed at the time of the New Moon in 11°Aries a couple of weeks ago (see: New Moon in Aries: Speak to the soul and heal yourself). Have these ‘seeds’ of courage and healing ‘sprouted’ and brought forth hope for a bountiful harvest?
Now at the Full Moon, we can take a moment to review our progress and see what works and what doesn’t – a time to fine-tune our belief systems and clear out that which hinders our onward path.
Helping us with this task will be Pluto in 28° Capricorn squaring the Full Moon. I saying ‘helping’ as squares generated friction and tension, but they manifest creative energy that we can utilise to build a successful outcome. This is shown by the red line here.
Here, Pluto is transforming how we see authority and those in power over us (He has been doing this since making ingress into Capricorn in 2008 and will remain until 2024), and at the time of this Full Moon I suggest He will be urging us to take a deep look at matters of control – what controls our sense of fear, and how does this prevent us from finding a harmonious and peaceful existence.
Maybe Pluto will reveal some hidden element of ourselves, our society, or those who hold positions of authority that hinders our capacity for a fair and peaceful world?
This is what Pluto does – He asks us to penetrate to the core of existence, to conquer our fears, and regain power and authority over our own existence. From 30th April until 9th October this year, Pluto will be in retrograde motion and will be intensely focused at this point in the zodiac, and providing us with plenty of opportunity for us to evolve.
Here, at the time of the Full Moon, we have the opportunity to transform that which does not produce harmony, balance and peace!

For us in the Southern Hemisphere, Jupiter and Neptune meet at the same point in the zodiac at 23°53’ Pisces on Wednesday, 13th April 2022 at 12:42am (12th April at 3:42pm UTC for our Northern Hemisphere friends).
A Jupiter Neptune conjunction occurs approximately every 13 years.
In astrology, such a conjunction is considered the start of a new cycle: a synodic cycle where the ‘seed’ energy of the combination of these two planets coming together travels onwards, influencing our personal and global history in a unique manner.
Jupiter and Neptune last met in 2009 and in the sign of Aquarius, a year when Bitcoin came into existence, and Barack Obama became President of the United States.
When we look to Pisces, we can see that this conjunction last occurred in 18°13’ Pisces on 17th March 1856, 166 years ago!
Around that time in 1856, Europe was coming to an end of a 3 year war centred around the Crimea (Ukraine), a war that started around the right to faith (Jupiter) and then escalated into issues of land ownership, but the ‘real’ cause was never understood, indeed it has been written that the war commenced due to a “greater confusion of purpose” 1 (Neptune). This same author notes that the Crimean war was an example of “notoriously incompetent international butchery”2. Something we could probably say about all wars but a particularly pertinent statement given current world events!
A positive to come from this ‘butchery’ was the professionalisation of medicine needed to manage the injuries of war, especially that of nursing via such individuals as Florence Nightingale. Maybe, we will experience a renewal in healing as a result of current conflicts?
I see this conjunction in 2022, occurring in the sign of the zodiac that both planets rule as being the principal astrological event of 2022 and the ’seeding’ of a ‘potent’ Jupiter Neptune synodic cycle.
The Pisces archetype is a complex one of dissolution, blurring the edges of the material world, and pushing us towards the realms of the spiritual – the unified, inclusive world of wholeness, where we find unity with the whole. Pisces stimulates us to be compassionate, to express empathy and to inspire each other.
Neptune in Pisces tasks us to transcend the material and free ourselves of the limitations we impose on ourselves when we restrict our vision and awareness to the concrete physical world, divorced from one another.
Neptune can lead us to escapism and delusion when we fail to recognise that life is more than our personal ego’s.
When we fail to see the ‘big picture’ and live in disharmony with all creation, we delude ourselves and seek out things to keep us in a state of blissful ignorance.
Jupiter will reinvigorate our Pisces nature – we all have some aspect of Pisces in our ‘cosmic makeup’, and this will be a time when we will be prompted to seek the truth, to find faith in life, and renew our optimism in being alive.
As a whole, we can expect to see an increased interest in spirituality and creativity such as music and literature, stimulated by this Jupiter Neptune conjunction in Pisces.
I recall reading somewhere that people born with Jupiter in Pisces may express an “unconquerable faith” in their beliefs and behaviours: “I am right you are wrong”; “I am doing God’s work”, etc. And, as we know from history, such attitudes lead to some terrible situations for those who hold opposing beliefs! This then, is a potential danger with this conjunction: ideologies run rampant!
With that said, if we focus on the ideal of unity and wholeness devoid of separation and differences, this conjunction may see humanity revel in a resurgence of compassion and empathy that leads us to a unified faith in being part of a universal family.
When Jupiter transits through Aries from May this year, we will all feel the urge to assert this new found faith and optimism, to create art and find unity with the whole!

Here in the Southern Hemisphere on Friday, 1st April at 5:24pm (AEDT) we have the first New Moon of the Astrological New Year in 11°Aries.
A New Moon is a time to sow the seeds for a new venture that sees our conscious awareness expand.
In Aries, this New Moon is about us: You and Me.
Aries is the first amongst equals in the zodiac, and as cardinal fire sign, initiates and pioneers our self expression: here we have the courage to exert our will to be.
With Chiron in 12°Aries, the ‘wounded-healer’ is conjunct this New Moon and as such, we have a fantastic opportunity to start a process of self-healing.
We will be energised with a motivating drive to seek the means to heal our wounds through our own resources. We can utilise our own will to cure ourselves of the ‘wounds’ that hold us back from expressing our authentic self out into the world.
And with Mercury in 09°Aries also in conjunction with the New Moon maybe it is time to go within and communicate with yourself – speak with your Soul to discover what it is that you need to heal your Self – that aspect of Being that reflects the Oneness of the Whole.
With this Mercurial conjunction, our intuition and empathy should aid both ourselves and those around us: what you find works for you could also be of aid to others suffering similar wounds – use the Aries energy to vocalise your Soul-based healing for all to hear!
If you know your natal (birth) chart, you will be able to see where this New Moon energy will manifest for you.
At 11° Aries, the New Moon will form a conjunction with any planets or points (such as your Midheaven) between 09° to 13° Aries. The energy of these planets will fuse with the New Moon and create a ’super planet’ that will be expressed in the House it falls in (remember that the House equates to an area of life, for example, the 4th House represents where you find nurturance, your roots, your home and family, etc)
If you have any planets or points (such as your Ascendent) between 09° to 13° Libra, the New Moon will be in opposition, creating the need to find balance and avoid the extremes of the planetary energies involved.
Planets or points (such as the Nodes of the Moon) at 09° to 13° of Gemini or Aquarius will be in sextile to the New Moon, and will provide support and stimulation of the planetary energies, providing opportunities for growth.
At 09° to 13° of Leo or Sagittarius, any natal planets or points will form a trine with the New Moon, facilitating a greater sense of harmony and flow, but if not worked with, these energies will lack the vitality there could bring.
If you have any planets or points (such as your Ascendent) between 09° to 13° of Cancer or Capricorn, this New Moon will form a square aspect and will potentially bring tense energies that will create a sense of collision, but which if handled well will provide the greatest opportunity for growth!
Take a look at my home page if you’d like to explore this New Moon and your chart through an astrological reading.
If astrology interests you, and you want to learn take a look at my popular learn astrology on-line course starting again in July 2022.

As a new start, I thought I’d try something a little different, and paint a potential picture for Tasmania’s year ahead.
Here I am using traditional techniques for reading the ingress chart of Aries at the commencement of the new astrological new year which occurs at the time the Sun ingresses (enters into) the sign of Aries at 00°: the Autumn Equinox for us in the Southern Hemisphere.
As I live in old Van Diemen’s Land, I thought it would be interesting and timely to review the ingress chart for Tasmania.
With Aquarius on the Ascendant being a Fixed Sign, the tradition is to accept this chart as an indication for the whole of the next 12 months, until the Aries ingress of 2023.
The Ascendant is the cusp of the 1st House, which here represents you and I, the Tasmanians, and the island itself.
Traditionally Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, with Uranus being the modern ruler. Here, we will stick with tradition for consistency, and find that Saturn is much exalted in this ingress chart being in the 1st House and in His own sign.
The 1st House has Mars and Venus conjunct, infusing a passion to assert things, such as the role of women in leading this island state. The Aquarius flavour will definitely bring radical change to how we prosper as an island State this year. Saturn will help us look to the future for structure and integrity in who we see ourselves as.
The 2nd House represents such matters as our financial security and with Mercury conjunct Jupiter, Tasmania may experience a surge in over optimistic promises that may not bring us the monetary stability we need.
Indeed, with Neptune in the 3rd House, we may discover that what we were told was really fiction! The Sun represents the Premier and as such, S/He will be focussed heavily on asserting themselves as the solution for our ills.
And it might be a tough time for those in power, as Uranus in the 4th House of the People will oppose the 10th House of Government, forcing a compromise between authority and individualism, the old and new, the way things are done and the way they could be done.
With the Moon in the 10th House, women will be the focal power and potentially the ‘seat of power’ in Tasmania this coming year.
The astrology suggests this will be a shock to Tasmanian patriarchal society!
Anyway, with Pluto in the 12th House, Tasmania can expect a transformation in power, and perhaps with women being ‘hidden’ for so long from places of power, this astrological new year may see the feminine rise to positions of control.
Regardless as to how this ‘story’ unfolds, interesting times are ahead – wherever you live in the world.
I wish you all a happy and fortuitous astrological new year!

Well paced course and excellent value for money. Thank you Charles, I have recommended your course to all my friends. ” WB
Before taking a quick look at the coming astrological year, I’d like to offer my thanks to all my clients and readers of my ramblings for making my 2021 a positive year of conscious evolution.
Through our interactions, I’ve come to see the world with fresh eyes!
In 2021, I’ve learnt to appreciate the importance of communication (North Node in Gemini) as a font of knowledge (South Node in Sagittarius), and I look forward to 2022, when the North Node in Taurus enhances my capacity to find the resources for my own survival within myself, whilst the South Node in Scorpio helps me to eliminate the need for material possessions to maintain that same sense of security.
In 2022, the themes of 2020-21 continue to play out with Pluto transiting through Capricorn, seeking to transform all aspects of what we conceive of as ‘authority’. We have the Saturn Uranus square still in orb throughout 2022. This tense aspect has been in play for much of 2021 and has challenged us to take action on such matters as the world’s resources, our finances, and the Earth’s climate. Enhancing the Pluto feeling of a need to ‘rebirth’ the ‘way we do things’, Saturn square Uranus adds the friction of ‘tradition’ versus ‘reform’ into our collective psyche!
An astrological highlight for 2022 is the transit of Jupiter through His traditional sign of rulership, Pisces, which commenced on the 29th December.
Pisces will transit the whole of Pisces’ 30° in quick fashion, making ingress into Aries on 11th May 2022, and then, due to retrograde motion, will renter Pisces on 22nd October until He leaves Pisces for 12 years and commences through the Zodiac in Aries once more.
With Jupiter in Pisces, we can expect to be reenergised with a sense of optimism and hopefulness for the future, and a collective desire for compassion and empathy towards each other.
We should see an upsurge in the desire to find meaning in being, a lift in our spiritual awareness and connectivity with all forms of life.
On 13th April 2022 we have Jupiter conjunct Neptune at 23°Pisces: the co-rulers of Pisces meet together in their own sign – potentially signifying a collective renewal of faith in our humanity.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to energise our transcendent dreams and visions for the future of a world come together with a common goal of experiencing the oneness of life and our interconnectedness of being!
When Jupiter transits through Aries we can take this inspirational goal forward with pioneering courage to see the ’seeds’ of faith in our spiritual unity sown and nurtured to fruition – maybe this is the spark we all need to find peace, harmony and a sense of purpose in the current world situation?
Obviously, there is more to the new astrological year: we start the year with Venus retrograde, have 4 periods of Mercury retrograde throughout 2022, and towards the end of the year we have Mars retrograde! And much more……

A Full Moon in Gemini affords us a great opportunity to review how we communicate.
And this Full Moon asks us to do this by analysing what have we learnt since the Sagittarius New Moon of 4th December?
Have we found wisdom and faith in our being? Have we gained a new philosophical approach to life? Did we find confidence and optimism to propel our journey to authenticity?
Now at the Full Moon, we can take a moment to review the knowledge we have gained, and see what works and what doesn’t – a time to fine-tune our belief systems and clear out that which hinders our onward path.
Being a Gemini Full Moon we can conduct this review with the aim of keeping that knowledge which has practical application. To retain that which fosters a curiosity to seek the connections that bring us a sense of wholeness.
Developing a Mercurial Mind – a mind that is free to seek information here, there and everywhere – explore and immerse ourselves in the emotional satisfying state of the inquiring mind!
How can we communicate that which we learnt from the previous New Moon in Sagittarius is the question here, and with the ruler of Sagittarius making an ‘easy opposition’ to this Full Moon, we can look to Jupiter for guidance.
Firstly, an ‘easy opposition’ is an aspect made by a planet, here we have Jupiter being in trine and sextile to either ends of a two planet opposition (the Full Moon is created by the Sun and Moon being in 180° opposition).
A trine is a 120° aspect and here with Jupiter in such an aspect to the Full Moon, we readily apply his optimism to our desires to broaden our awareness of living.
Being in sextile (60° aspect) to the Sun, Jupiter brings his confidence to our sense of individuality in a way that sees the Moon lit up with supportive energy to reveal our recently accumulated wisdom.
With Jupiter still in Aquarius, we can utilise his energy to project our accumulated wisdom for the betterment of the whole – a more humanitarian use of our knowledge, and a thoughtful application of our future hopes and wishes!
The other aspect I feel is going to ‘flavour’ this Full Moon is the conjunction between Venus and Pluto in quincunx to the lunation. Maybe a bit too much ‘astro-babble’, but what it tells me is that we have an opportunity to review and transform in a new light and from a different perspective, that which brings us comfort, harmony, and security.
What really matters – what do we really value? This something to review and discuss at the time of the Gemini Full Moon.
How we relate to others may not be working and the Full Moon could provide the ‘illumination’ needed to see what needs to go and what needs to stay so we can ‘rebirth’ the way in which we communicate in a more harmonious manner!
What a great Full Moon to lead us towards the Summer Solstice (Winter for our northern hemisphere friends) when the Sun makes ingress into Capricorn on the 22nd December!
If you know your Sun sign you can forecast where you’ll experience these cosmic energies.
If you do not know your Sun sign, message me with your natal details and I’ll freely email you your natal horoscope wheel so you do!
If you are a Gemini Sun, then the Full Moon will be in the House of your Sun and potentially in conjunction if your Sun, or any other planets (yes, in astrology, the Sun is referred to as a ‘planet’) between 25°28’ and 29°28’ Gemini. Being conjunct the Full Moon energy this could be an ideal time to evaluate your identity and let things go that no longer serve their purpose.
For a Sagittarius Sun, you’ll be experiencing the impact of the opposition if your Sun or another planet is between 25°28’ and 29°28’ Sagittarius. An opposition will create the need to find balance and avoid the extremes of the planetary energies involved. Avoid the urge to become a dominant self-righteous voice!
If you are a Virgo or Pisces Sun, this Full Moon may square your Sun or any other planet between 25°28’ and 29°28’, potentially creating some tense energies that if handled well will provide the greatest opportunity for growth! Perhaps finding a way to be of service to others, to provide an ear for them to gain compassion may be a way of reducing any stress felt at the time of the Full Moon.
With your Sun in either Leo or Aries, the Full Moon maybe in sextile, and will provide support and stimulation of the planetary energies, a pioneering opportunity to fine-tune the Self and to develop your generous nature. Keep an eye out that you don’t become too bossy or overbearing, especially when expressing your opinions!
Trines may be experienced by those of you with a Libra or Aquarius Sun, and here the Full Moon will facilitate a greater sense of harmony and flow, that needs to be worked with: tune into this cosmic energy or you’ll miss out on the vitality it could bring! Maybe look towards becoming innovative and avoid indecision – make the choice to free your spirit in a cooperative manner!
Which House your Sun is in will determine where you will be experiencing the impact of the Full Moon.
Again, if you do not know your Sun sign, message me with your natal details and I’ll freely email you your natal horoscope wheel so you can look to the House it is in.
Of course, the Full Moon will potentially make many different aspects to the 10 or more planets and points that make up your natal chart.

On 4th December 2021 at 6:43pm (AEDT), we will be having a New Moon and Solar Eclipse in 12°Sagittarius.
If you don’t live where Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) is used, the New Moon occurs at 7:43am (UT/GMT).
This is a total eclipse, but for us in Tasmania we will only see a partial eclipse at around 8:05pm (AEDT): you will need to be in Antartica to see the full eclipse!
The New Moon in Sagittarius affords us the opportunity to optimistically plan for our futures!
This New Moon also being a Solar eclipse, really benefits from the Sagittarius urge for new starts, new adventures and new experiences. With these Solar/Luna energies being projected through a Sagittarius lens, we will sense a new confidence to travel (maybe only within our minds) and explore the meaning of life.
A great time to set your intention to study, learn and gain a new and more expansive understanding of your reality.
The New Moon/Solar Eclipse being in the South Node of the Moon suggests that we may uncover and let go of outdated philosophies and ways of thinking that hinder our progress through life.
Maybe a time to consider the veracity of my information sources – where do I find reliable, truthful information in this day and age? I say, ‘maybe’, but this is has been the message of the Lunar nodes for the last year or so – we have been tasked with finding a balance between the accepted truth of the Sagittarius South Node and the inquisitive and practical information of the Gemini North Node. We only need to reflect on the recent history of social media concerns, ‘fake news’, and the control of where we can obtain ‘truthful’ information, to get a feel for this pressing concern!
With the nodal axis about to change from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio, have we found the ‘answer’ to this question?
Could the New Moon/Solar Eclipse provide us with the opportunity to find faith within ourselves – to think with our hearts and allow intuition to take a more central role in decision making processes?
With the New Moon being in quincunx with Uranus (orange line on the chart opposite), we have a frustrating element being added to this opportunity to sow the seeds for finding meaning and faith.
A quincunx is a 150° aspect between planets in signs that have nothing in common: Sagittarius is a masculine, mutable fire sign, whilst Taurus is a feminine, fixed earth sign.
Here then, we don’t just need to find compromise, we need to find new ways of combing these energies and applying them to our lives. Will the New Moon/Solar Eclipse reveal that our faith has been misplaced? Can we find wisdom and security through living a more authentic life?
Uranus remains in square with Saturn (red line on chart above), and as you’d be aware, this aspect has been ongoing throughout the year (its actually part of a cycle that commenced in 1988 when Saturn was conjunct Uranus in 23°Sagittarius, and will end when a new Saturn Uranus cycle starts at 28°Gemini in 2032).
The Saturn Uranus square is, as all squares are, a time of tension between the two planets.
With Saturn in Aquarius, we have the push for innovative, structural changes – new ways of governance for example, being in conflict with Uranus in Taurus that wants authenticity, reform and security in the realm of our earthly resources. In a way, Saturn is bringing new laws to manage revolutionary changes occurring to our planet, our values and worth.
Likewise, Uranus in Taurus is ushering in change in what we perceive as valuable, how we value our resources, and how we use them to gain security and wellbeing (think, energy sources, food stuffs, transportation, money, etc). Saturn could represent the traditional viewpoint of how we use earth’s resources, such as oil and the US dollar versus renewable energy and Bitcoin.
With squares, rather than dwelling on the frustration they create, we need to take action and do something to express the energies of both planetary needs: Saturn’s requirement for structure, commitment, and responsibility, needs to be harmonised and blended with Uranus’ drive for change, independence and freedom from the past!
A difficult thing to do! No wonder we find ourselves in seemingly draconian times!
But here, with Saturn being in sextile to the New Moon (green line in chart above), the ‘authorities’ (Saturn) have an opportunity to plant the seeds for a more supportive and easier path to harmony with Uranus’ push for the change that is occurring. A Sagittarius New Moon coupled with a Solar Eclipse should be a great time for new discoveries: maybe new philosophies, medicines and technologies will be ‘seeded’ at this time which will benefit the continuing stability of humanity?
Another fascinating lunation, with so much cosmic energy for us to tap into and utilise for our conscious evolution – wishing you all the best!
Check your natal chart to get an idea of the influence of the New Moon/Solar Eclipse:
With the New Moon occurring at 12° Sagittarius, if you have planets between 10° and 14° Sagittarius, energy of these planets will fuse with the New Moon and create a ’super planet’ that will be expressed in the House it falls in (remember that the House equates to an area of life).
If you have any planets or points (such as your Ascendent) between 10° and 14° Gemini, the New Moon will be in opposition, creating the need to find balance and avoid the extremes of the planetary energies involved.
Planets or points at 10° and 14° of Aquarius or Libra will be in sextile to the New Moon, and will provide support and stimulation of the planetary energies, providing opportunities for growth.
At 10° and 14° of Leo or Aries, any natal planets or points will form a trine with the New Moon, facilitating a greater sense of harmony and flow, but if not worked with, these energies will lack the vitality they could bring you.
If you have any planets or points between 10° and 14° of Pisces or Virgo, the New Moon will form a square aspect and will potentially bring tense energies that will create a sense of collision, but which if handled well will provide the greatest opportunity for growth!
